Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy typically used with children on the Autism Spectrum. ABA therapy uses scientifically researched interventions and utilizes them in the children’s everyday environment. Its main emphasis is based on using reinforcement (things kids like) to help children learn the tasks at hand. It is also used to help caregivers change the environment a child is in to make it more conducive to learning, and less likely inappropriate behaviors will occur.
At Greater Pensacola Behavior Services, we specialize in Early Intervention ABA Therapy for children ages ~18 months-7 years.
Our curriculum focuses on readying children to transition to Kindergarten. Our sessions focus on building communication skills, appropriate peer interactions, increasing play skills and interests, and following routine activities.
Our daily schedule includes periods for circle time, snacks, lunch, group and individual play, as well as individual goals targeted for each child's needs.
Children are always 1:1 with their own Registered Behavior Technician throughout both individual and group learning tasks.
At GPBS we understand how important it is to find an agency that meets your families needs. We provide no cost consultations before scheduling an assessment. We understand that choosing the right agency is a difficult decision, and want your family to feel as comfortable as possible, knowing your child is in the right hands.
